In a video shared on his Instagram page, Zicsaloma spoke candidly about the challenges he faced achieving financial independence, revealing that entitled family members often slowed his progress.

According to him, being “selfish” with money—even toward friends and family—is sometimes necessary to reach financial goals. He explained:

“I did a lot of business while growing up, but most of them failed because of family. African families, even your own, can feel entitled to your wealth, even when the purpose of working is to save and build a better future.
It’s very okay to be financially heartless toward friends and family if it helps you save and break that cycle. They may resent you, but it’s for your own good.”

Zicsaloma also recently opened up about what he considers his worst financial mistake: purchasing a luxury Range Rover Sport.

Speaking in an interview with Pulse, the content creator revealed that he spent over ₦30 million on the vehicle, expecting the thrill of owning a high-end car in Nigeria. Unfortunately, the excitement was short-lived. Mechanical issues arose, forcing him to spend around ₦10 million on repairs within just three to four months, yet the problems persisted.

Ultimately, the situation became unsustainable, and Zicsaloma had no choice but to sell the Range Rover for far less than what he originally paid.
