Tension Explodes: Iran Launches Missile Barrage At Israel In Major Retaliation

The escalation came shortly after United States President Donald Trump confirmed U.S. involvement in what he described as “major combat operations” in Iran.
According to Daily Post, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed in a brief statement that they detected missiles launched from Iran soon after the initial offensive. Sirens were sounded nationwide as the IDF actively intercepted incoming threats and conducted counterstrikes where necessary. The IDF also urged citizens to strictly follow Home Front Command safety guidelines, cautioning that “the defense is not hermetic.”
In a video address following the attacks, Trump vowed to “annihilate” Iran’s navy and missile infrastructure while calling on Iranians to overthrow their government. He emphasized that the objective was the destruction of the Islamic Republic’s military and the removal of authorities in power since the 1979 revolution.
“We are going to destroy their missiles and raze their missile industry to the ground. It will be totally, again, obliterated. We’re going to annihilate their navy,” Trump stated from his Florida residence, in a message posted to his Truth Social platform.
Addressing the Iranian people, he added, “When we are finished, take over your government. It will be yours to take.”
