The governor made the remarks on Tuesday through his Chief of Staff, Tayo Ayinde, during a Ramadan lecture organised by the party in Lagos. The event brought together party members for prayers and strategic discussions as preparations begin ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Addressing supporters, Ayinde encouraged them to start early preparations for the next election cycle. He urged members to register and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), emphasizing that active participation would be crucial to the party’s performance in future polls.

He noted that the party was disappointed by the 2023 election results in Lagos and stressed that such an outcome should not be repeated. According to him, proper organisation and voter readiness would help secure better results in the upcoming elections.

Sanwo-Olu also linked the political future of the current federal administration to President Bola Tinubu’s prospects for a second term, suggesting that continued national progress would depend on the party retaining power.
