He made this known in an Easter message issued on Sunday through his media aide, Dauda Iliya, while extending greetings to Christians in Borno and across Nigeria.

Zulum reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening peace and promoting unity among residents, highlighting the progress made in fostering harmony between different religious groups.

He noted with satisfaction the level of peaceful coexistence between Christians and Muslims in the state, urging residents to maintain the spirit of unity as efforts toward lasting peace continue.

Describing Easter as a sacred season symbolising sacrifice, forgiveness, and love, the governor congratulated Christians on the celebration and acknowledged the conclusion of the 40-day Lenten period marked by fasting, prayer, and reflection.

Zulum also reiterated his administration’s determination to improve security and the welfare of citizens, pointing to measures taken to ease the impact of economic hardship.

He disclosed that over 300,000 families have benefited from the government’s expanded palliative distribution aimed at cushioning the effects of current economic challenges.

The governor further called on residents to remain united and avoid divisive tendencies, especially during the political period, stressing that Borno belongs to all its people.

He emphasized the importance of unity in the state’s ongoing recovery efforts and warned against actions that could undermine progress.

He also praised traditional and religious leaders for promoting peace and encouraging tolerance among communities.

The governor expressed confidence that with continued cooperation and resilience, Borno State would overcome its security challenges and achieve lasting peace.
