The rumour began circulating online on April 14, 2026, after a post attributed to High Chief Lawrence Igbins Okoro alleged that Oseni had been sanctioned by the station following a disagreement with a senior colleague. The post further claimed the altercation escalated during the argument.
In response, Oseni addressed the speculation via his verified account, firmly denying the report and stressing that he has not been suspended by his employer.
He also clarified that he is currently outside Nigeria on an official work visit to Germany, stating that the suspension claim is entirely fabricated and misleading.
Oseni urged the public to disregard the false information and report the account responsible for spreading it. He reaffirmed that he remains fully active in his role and has not been subjected to any disciplinary action.
In his words: “This is a lie, the man is lying. I was not suspended, I am on a working visit to Germany. This is fake news, kindly report that account.”
