The endorsement was disclosed by the Jigawa APC Chairman, Ahmed Garba, during a strategic meeting held with Governor Namadi in Dutse.
He explained that the decision was reached after wide-ranging consultations involving party elders, key stakeholders, and political leaders across the state.
According to him, the move is aimed at reinforcing party unity and ensuring continuity in leadership at both national and state levels.
The development follows the APC’s release of its 2027 election timetable, with the presidential primary scheduled for May 15 and 16, 2026.
Under the party’s guidelines, presidential aspirants are required to pay ₦100 million for expression of interest and nomination forms, while governorship aspirants are expected to pay ₦50 million.
The Jigawa APC Elders Committee also adopted a consensus arrangement for the primaries, describing it as a step to reduce internal conflict and present a united front ahead of the elections.
Party leaders expressed confidence in the leadership of both Tinubu and Namadi, pointing to achievements recorded in infrastructure, agriculture, education, and economic reforms.
They added that the early endorsement would strengthen party cohesion and boost preparations for the 2027 polls.
The committee maintained that the decision reflects the collective position of stakeholders in Jigawa State to sustain ongoing development and secure electoral success for the APC at all levels.
