In a statement shared on Instagram, Churchill argued that there can be no divorce because, according to him, they were never legally married.

He explained that what took place between them was only an introduction ceremony, stressing that there was neither a court wedding nor a church wedding.

Churchill also denied claims that he had been served any divorce papers, questioning the authenticity of reports suggesting legal proceedings had taken place.

Describing the reports as misinformation, he maintained there was no legally recognized marriage to dissolve and challenged the validity of the alleged divorce documents circulating online.

He also raised doubts about the reported court process, questioning whether the timelines being cited for hearings and judgment were even realistic.

Churchill further blamed what he described as poor advice from inexperienced media handlers and questionable legal counsel for fueling the controversy.

Addressing wider issues surrounding the dispute, he said some personal matters involving his past relationship with Tonto Dikeh should have remained between those directly involved, adding that both of them have moved on and chosen forgiveness.

He also pushed back against narratives portraying Rosy as someone who made extraordinary sacrifices for him, saying issues within his personal relationships were his responsibility to manage and defend when necessary.
