A video of the incident, which surfaced on , captured the moment the actress stood her ground as the men made forceful demands for a “settlement”—a practice often associated with extortion targeting film crews working in public spaces across Lagos.

Speaking in a mix of Nigerian Pidgin and English, Ademoye made it clear that while she had no issue giving voluntary tips to people around her set, she would not be pressured into paying under threat.

“I am a street girl, let me tell you. Ask around, when it comes to matters of the street, I like settling boys. But you don’t come to me and tell me to give you a certain amount,” she said.

When one of the men insisted he was not begging, the actress responded directly, saying he was indeed asking for money but acting arrogantly about it.

The exchange intensified when one of the individuals threatened to tamper with her equipment. Ademoye quickly fired back, dismissing the threat and asserting confidence in her resources.

Although the group, estimated to be between three and five individuals, did not escalate the situation physically, their presence interrupted the filming process. No weapons were visible in the footage.
