In a post shared on on Thursday, Sani said lawyers, court officials, and other stakeholders were already seated, while a five-member panel of justices was being awaited to hear and decide the cases.
He described the courtroom atmosphere as “tense and solemn,” noting that anticipation was high among all parties involved.
Sani wrote:
“We are all seated at the Supreme Court of Nigeria, waiting for the five-member panel that will decide the appeals involving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
“Counsel for the different parties are arriving gradually, while the court registrar and support staff are already in place. The atmosphere is tense, solemn, and filled with anticipation as everyone quietly lifts their hands in prayer, seeking divine favour and victory.”
He further noted that members of the faction aligned with Taminu Turaki were optimistic about a favourable ruling, adding that they were praying for judgments guided by justice and the rule of law.
The development comes as the Supreme Court prepares to deliver rulings on leadership disputes affecting both political parties.
The ADC case (SC/CV/180/2026) is scheduled for hearing at 2 p.m., while the exact time for the PDP matter was not indicated on the court’s docket.
The ADC dispute stems from actions by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which declined to recognise certain leadership claimants, citing earlier court rulings and ongoing litigation.
In the PDP case, the apex court is expected to rule on an appeal seeking validation of the party’s national convention held in Ibadan, Oyo State, in November 2025.
