The fight, staged at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, saw Carter Efe dominate all three rounds of the contest. Judges scored the bout 27–30 in his favour across the board, handing Portable his first defeat in celebrity boxing and ending his championship run.

Portable entered the match unbeaten, having previously defeated Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington to claim two titles, and had boldly predicted he would add a third belt before the fight.

Carter Efe, however, dismissed the confidence beforehand, insisting he would control the bout and “drop” his opponent with ease—comments he backed up with a disciplined performance inside the ring.

In the opening round, Portable began aggressively with wild swings, but Efe remained composed and countered effectively. The second round saw Efe take clearer control, landing more accurate combinations while Portable struggled with his timing. By the third round, Efe continued to dictate the pace until the final bell.

The result marks a significant upset in the celebrity boxing scene, with Carter Efe now crowned the new champion.
