A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered that blogger and social media personality Chidiebere Mark, widely known as Justice Crack, be remanded in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The ruling was delivered on Monday after he was brought before Justice Joyce Abdulmalik on a three-count charge related to alleged cybercrime.

According to the DSS, Mark is accused of making false claims about the welfare of Nigerian Army personnel, including allegations that soldiers are poorly fed. The charges stem from a viral video he shared on his account (@JusticeCrack), which authorities say could damage the Army’s reputation and disturb public peace.

Despite the allegations, Mark pleaded not guilty when the charges were read in court.

Following his plea, the prosecution, led by E. Orubo, requested a trial date and asked that the defendant be kept in custody pending the outcome of the case.

His lawyer, Marshall Abubakar, made an oral application for bail, but the court declined, directing that a formal bail request be submitted instead.

Justice Abdulmalik subsequently ordered that Mark remain in DSS custody until May 25, when his trial is scheduled to begin.

The Nigerian Army had earlier confirmed his arrest, stating that initial findings suggested he engaged with soldiers in a manner that could incite discontent within the ranks and spread misinformation.
