Adams Oshiomhole Fires Warning: “South Africa Will Go On Its Knees If We Retaliate
Senator Adams Oshiomhole has called on the Federal Government to take decisive action over ongoing attacks on Nigerians in South Africa.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Speaking during plenary on Tuesday, he urged the government to respond by targeting South African businesses operating in Nigeria as a form of pressure.
His comments come amid rising reports of violence against Nigerians in South Africa.
The former Edo State governor suggested that Nigeria should consider revoking the operating licences of major South African-owned companies such as MTN and DStv.
He insisted that Nigeria must respond firmly to what he described as repeated hostility against its citizens.
According to him, “If you hit me, I hit you. That is how diplomacy works. It is an economic struggle.”
Oshiomhole also argued that while some South Africans accuse Nigerians of taking jobs, Nigerians could instead occupy employment opportunities created by South African companies operating in the country.
He added that a stronger response from Nigeria would force South African authorities to take the matter seriously.
He further stated that Nigeria would not tolerate the killing of its citizens, stressing that while offenders should face justice under South African law, violence against Nigerians would not be accepted.
