Speaking to Vole, Önder said bringing Fernandes to Galatasaray would significantly improve the club’s quality and increase its chances of retaining the Nigerian striker beyond the current transfer window. According to him, the Portuguese midfielder’s creativity and attacking influence would strengthen Galatasaray’s ambitions both domestically and in Europe. Önder also stated that Fernandes’ arrival could boost the club’s competitiveness in the UEFA Champions League and make Galatasaray a stronger force in the Turkish league. He added that a team featuring both Fernandes and Osimhen in top form would create major problems for rival clubs such as Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş, and Trabzonspor in the title race.
