Fresh Update Emerges In BBNaija Star Ilebaye’s Alleged Assault Case

The update was confirmed on Sunday by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh.

According to the police, Ilebaye and her siblings were rescued after the weekend incident and immediately taken for medical attention alongside their father, who also sustained injuries during the confrontation.

Adeh stated that the siblings are currently under police protection, while their father remains in custody and is also receiving medical care.

She added that the situation being circulated online does not reflect the current status of the individuals involved.

The police further explained that investigations are ongoing, and questioning will begin once all parties are certified medically stable by doctors.

The development follows the arrest of Emmanuel Odiniya over allegations of assault at their residence in Royal Anchor Estate, Wuye, Abuja.

The incident gained widespread attention after a viral video surfaced showing Ilebaye in tears with visible injuries, calling for help during the altercation.

Police had earlier confirmed responding to a distress call in the early hours of Friday regarding an ongoing assault involving the reality TV star.

Officers from the Wuye Division and the Department of Operations were deployed to the scene, where they reportedly gained access to the locked residence after initial difficulty.

Ilebaye and her brothers were later rescued and taken for treatment at NNPC Hospital Abuja before being moved into protective custody.

Their father, Emmanuel Odiniya, remains in detention as investigators work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

Reports also indicate that the children’s mother, Lami Odiniya, said the confrontation began during a visit by Ilebaye to see her younger siblings and discuss her upcoming birthday plans.

She alleged that the situation escalated after the father accused the reality TV star of being influenced by her mother.

The case has drawn renewed public attention to longstanding family tensions following the breakdown of the couple’s 32-year marriage.
