Yul Edochie has sparked widespread backlash online after stating that any man who forgives an unfaithful wife would eventually regret the decision.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The actor made the comment while reacting to the marital controversy involving media personality Frank Edoho, advising men to walk away from marriages immediately after discovering infidelity.

In a post shared on his handle, Yul Edochie argued that forgiving a cheating partner reflects weakness on the part of the man.

The Nollywood actor further claimed that allowing such behaviour encourages repeated betrayal, insisting that women often take advantage of men they perceive as weak.

He wrote, “Once you find out your wife is cheating on you, leave her immediately. Men, stop tolerating nonsense all in the name of marriage. Don’t negotiate anything with her.

“Don’t condone. Don’t discuss with her boyfriend. Let her go quickly. And move on. If you forgive her and continue, you have confirmed to her that you’re a weak man. Danger looms for you. That decision will come back later to hunt you. Women deal mercilessly with weak men.”

However, many social media users criticised the actor, pointing to his own widely publicised marital controversy involving his first wife, May Edochie, and actress Judy Austin.

Several users argued that Yul was not in the right position to advise others on infidelity, with many accusing him of hypocrisy.

One user, @quin-dan, wrote: “But you were cheating with Mr Obasi’s wife, oga enter house abeg.”

Another user, @preciousdikea, said: “Everyone can speak on this topic, certainly not you. It’s the balls to insert yourself when all fingers are pointing at you for committing same sin.”

@onyinyechijj added: “That’s why May left you naw. She discovered you were cheating on her with a married woman and she left you. See who dey give advice.”

Another comment from @TheosophiaQueen read: “Is Judy dealing with you already? Obviously, you didn’t experience this with your ex.”
