Massive Show Of Strength: Governor Sani Secures APC Ticket With 459,393 Affirmation Votes
Uba Sani has emerged as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the 2027 general election after securing 459,393 affirmation votes during the party’s primary election held on Thursday.
As the sole aspirant in the race, Governor Sani received massive backing from party delegates and stakeholders across Kaduna State, with APC leaders describing the outcome as a strong vote of confidence in his administration and leadership approach.
The primary election, supervised by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, drew prominent party leaders, elected representatives, delegates, and supporters from all 23 local government areas of the state.
Announcing the results, Hon. Hafiz Kawu, Chairman of the Kaduna State APC Governorship and House of Assembly Primary Committee, stated that the exercise was conducted peacefully and transparently, adding that it demonstrated increasing unity within the ruling party ahead of the 2027 polls.
The motion to adopt the affirmation votes was presented by Kaduna State APC Chairman, Atiku Sanke, and supported by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Liman. Delegates unanimously approved the motion amid cheers and celebrations from party supporters.
In his acceptance speech, Governor Sani thanked APC members, stakeholders, and the people of Kaduna State for the overwhelming trust and support shown to him.
He said the endorsement would inspire his administration to further pursue inclusive governance, enhanced security, and rapid development across the state.
According to the governor, his administration has continued to make significant strides in promoting peace, unity, and sustainable development through dialogue, inclusiveness, and people-oriented policies, especially in infrastructure, education, rural development, and urban renewal.
