Fresh Trouble For VDM As Presidency Demands Action Over ‘Fake’ Tinubu Recording

The call was made by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a post shared on .
Onanuga accused VeryDarkMan of spreading false information online and described the circulation of the alleged audio recording as a serious misuse of social media platforms.
According to him, “This VDM needs to face the weight of the law for being the conveyor and disseminator of a fake audio of President Tinubu. This is a clear case of an egregious abuse of the social media platform.”
The presidential aide was reacting to a post by an user identified as Aneex, who questioned why some individuals believed the voice in the controversial recording belonged to Tinubu.
The user described the audio as “cheap propaganda” and alleged that VeryDarkMan was using public sentiment to spread misinformation.
Meanwhile, in a separate development, Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner Phyna, whose real name is Ijeoma Otabor, reportedly lost access to her Instagram account.
Her page was said to have been suspended on Monday amid an ongoing online dispute with VeryDarkMan.
Phyna had earlier accused the influencer of turning public opinion against her after she allegedly rejected his sexual advances.
VeryDarkMan denied the accusation, insisting that asking for consensual sex between adults was not inappropriate, while also demanding evidence to support the claim.
In response, Phyna shared screenshots of an alleged WhatsApp conversation between herself and the influencer on her Instagram page.
