He expressed his anger on his Instagram story over the worsening security situation in Oyo State, particularly the recent school kidnappings.

Teddy A blamed the state government for what he described as poor handling of security responsibilities, linking the incidents to lapses in leadership.

He argued that despite receiving significant annual allocations for security, residents of the state continue to experience violent attacks and kidnappings.

According to him, Oyo State receives billions of naira each year, yet schools and communities remain vulnerable to insecurity.

He further suggested that political ambitions may be distracting leadership focus from governance and the protection of lives.

In his words: “Oyo State gets 12 billion naira annually for security vote from the federation, that’s 84 billion naira in seven years. Yet Governor Seyi Makinde can’t provide security for his people, he is instead playing politics with the lives of his people for his presidential ambition.”

The statement comes after suspected gunmen attacked two communities in Oriire Local Government Area on Friday, May 15, 2026.

During the attack, two people were killed, while several pupils and teachers were abducted.

Two days later, one of the abducted teachers from Community High School, Ahoro Esinele, identified as Michael Oyedokun, was reportedly killed by the attackers, with a video of the incident later circulating online.
