Senator Adams Oshiomhole, who represents Edo North Senatorial District, has alleged that a significant number of lawmakers in the 10th National Assembly are unhappy with the leadership approach of Senate President Godswill Akpabio.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Oshiomhole made the assertion during an appearance on the Mic On Podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye while responding to a question about whether he posed a political threat to the Senate President.

The former Edo State governor claimed that Akpabio is overly suspicious of him and suggested that, if given the opportunity, the Senate President would prefer to exclude him from the Senate.

According to Oshiomhole, the issue extends beyond his personal relationship with Akpabio, as several senators are reportedly dissatisfied with the current leadership style in the upper chamber.

He further warned that the composition and dynamics of the Senate could change significantly after the 2027 elections, suggesting that the 11th National Assembly may be less accommodating of the current leadership approach.

“He is paranoid about everything that concerns me. Everyone in the Senate knows that if Senator Akpabio had his way, he would lock me out of the Senate because he has convinced himself that I am the threat he knows,” Oshiomhole said.

“However, there are many others he may not be paying attention to. The 11th Senate will not be the same as the 10th Senate. I can say confidently that many senators are grumbling about his style of leadership,” he added.
