Major Decision Looms As 36 Governors Speak On Creation Of State Police

The governors, under the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF), made their position known in a communiqué signed by the NGF Chairman and Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

The decision was reached during a meeting of the forum held in Abuja, which ran from Wednesday into the early hours of Thursday.

According to the governors, the proposal is consistent with constitutional provisions and aligns with the principles of federalism as well as the protection of citizens’ rights.
