She made this known during an appearance on the Creativtea Podcast, where she spoke about how her strict Catholic upbringing influenced her early life choices.
Beverly explained that she grew up in Lagos, spending her childhood in areas such as Surulere, Yaba, and Ojuelegba, which she described as key parts of her formative years.
She also disclosed that she attended Daughters of Divine Love Juniorate in Enugu, a period during which she became deeply committed to the idea of joining a religious order.
According to her, she was genuinely convinced at the time that her future lay in the convent.
She added that her admiration for the discipline, orderliness, and appearance of Catholic priests and Reverend Sisters played a major role in shaping her aspiration.
Beverly noted that her personal love for neatness made the lifestyle especially appealing to her.
“I was meant to be a Reverend Sister. I wanted to really be a Reverend Sister. Now, I am doing God’s work in other ways,” she said.
“I love how they dress. Because I am meticulous and very neat, I just loved how clean the priests and Reverend Sisters were. Literally, that was it.”
