The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has dismissed reports claiming that Rabiu Kwankwaso, the vice presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), purchased 69 nomination forms to gain control of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The allegation was earlier made by Abdulkadir Musa Giza, chairman of the PRP North-West Stakeholders Forum, who claimed Kwankwaso had effectively taken over the party’s structure.

However, speaking with journalists on Monday, PRP National Secretary Musa Maigari rejected the claim, describing it as entirely false.

Maigari insisted that Kwankwaso neither bought any nomination forms nor has any formal association with the party.

He explained that the party has already concluded all its internal processes, including primary elections, ahead of the next electoral cycle.

“As it stands, all positions in the PRP have been filled. The primaries are over, and every political party has completed its own processes,” he said.

Maigari also questioned the credibility of the source of the allegation, noting that the individual making the claims is not a registered member of the party.

“It is laughable that at this stage, when primaries have long been concluded, someone is still talking about nomination forms,” he added.

He further stated that the so-called North-West Stakeholders Forum is not recognised by the PRP and maintained that there is no evidence showing that Kwankwaso or his associates purchased any forms.

According to him, the timing and content of the claims were misleading, as the party has already finalized its internal arrangements for the upcoming elections.

He urged the public to disregard what he described as unfounded rumours and to rely only on official statements issued by the party.
