Peter Okoye Reveals Family Drama: “Jude And Paul Pressured Lola To Abort My Baby

Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P and a former member of the defunct music duo P-Square, has recounted a difficult period surrounding his then-girlfriend Lola’s pregnancy.

Peter said he was 27 when Lola became pregnant and decided to publicly announce the news himself because he did not want it to be revealed by someone else.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, the singer recalled announcing the pregnancy during the Soundcity Awards after P-Square received an award.

According to him, he dedicated the award to God, his fans and those who had supported the group before dedicating it to the mother of his unborn child.

Peter alleged that his twin brother, Paul Okoye, and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, subsequently walked out of the event, claiming that his announcement could damage the group’s career.

He further alleged that Jude and Paul insisted that Lola terminate the pregnancy.

Peter also claimed that an email was allegedly forged in an attempt to cast doubt on his relationship with Lola and the paternity of the child.

He said the email allegedly claimed that the pregnancy was not his and accused Lola of trying to trap him.

Peter’s account adds another layer to the long-running public tensions surrounding the Okoye brothers and the former P-Square group.
