Liverpool have reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for France international Bradley Barcola in a deal that could rise to £123 million.

The Reds are set to pay an initial £106 million for the 23-year-old forward, with a further £17 million available in performance-related add-ons. PSG had initially placed a £145 million valuation on the player.

Barcola is expected to undergo his medical examinations this weekend before completing his move and signing a long-term contract with Liverpool.

The right-footed attacker primarily operates from the left wing but is also capable of playing on the right or through the centre. His arrival could raise further questions about Cody Gakpo’s future at Anfield, with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City reportedly monitoring the Netherlands international.

Liverpool are also continuing their search for a right winger, with Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh and Crystal Palace’s Ismaila Sarr among the players being considered.

The Reds identified Barcola as a priority target as they look to strengthen their attacking options following the departures of Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah over the past two summers.

Barcola joined PSG from Lyon in 2023 for a reported £38.5 million and has since enjoyed a highly successful spell in Paris.

During his time with the French giants, he has won three Ligue 1 titles, two Champions League trophies, two French Cups, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup.

The forward also impressed on the international stage, scoring three goals for France at this summer’s World Cup.
