Drama As Man Allegedly Eats ₦324K Food At Lagos Restaurant Without Paying
A man has reportedly been apprehended in Lagos after allegedly accumulating a food bill of about ₦324,000 at a restaurant without making payment.
According to Bush Radio Academy, the incident came to light after a video of the man surfaced online, with the restaurant owner explaining that he had allegedly been visiting the establishment regularly for more than two months.
The owner reportedly said the man would order meals worth approximately ₦6,000 each day and leave without making payment. She explained that the alleged incidents often occurred when she was not around, leaving her staff to attend to him.
The man was eventually apprehended over the alleged unpaid bills. A security personnel who spoke in the video claimed that the suspect had recently spent about six months in a correctional facility after allegedly stealing ₦250,000 from his employer.
The security personnel further alleged that the man had continued engaging in similar activities after his release, despite the previous correctional experience.
During the incident, the man reportedly admitted to using fake bank transfer alerts to convince people that he had paid for goods or services.
The restaurant owner said the repeated visits had gone unnoticed for some time because the man allegedly took advantage of her absence and dealt directly with her workers.
The development has sparked reactions online, with many social media users expressing shock over the alleged accumulation of a ₦324,000 food bill without payment.
The circumstances surrounding the incident and any further action against the man remain unclear.
