Obaseki Mourns Dan Orbih, Pays Tribute To Ex-PDP National Vice Chairman

Former Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has expressed sadness over the death of former National Vice Chairman, South-South, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Dan Osi Orbih, who died at the age of 64.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Obaseki described the late politician as a prominent Edo indigene who made significant contributions to the development of the PDP in Edo State and at the national level.

Orbih previously served as chairman of the PDP in Edo State before rising to the position of National Vice Chairman, South-South, where he remained actively involved in the affairs of the party and the broader political landscape.

In a condolence message, Obaseki said Orbih’s years of political engagement and public service earned him a notable place in the history of Edo State and Nigeria.

The former governor said he received the news of Orbih’s death with profound sadness, describing his passing as a significant loss to his family, political associates and the people of Edo State.

Obaseki commiserated with Orbih’s wife, children, relatives, friends, political associates and other members of the PDP who were affected by the loss.

He also prayed for strength and comfort for the deceased’s family as they come to terms with his passing, while asking God to grant Orbih eternal rest.

Obaseki said, “I received with profound sadness the news of the passing of Chief Dan Osi Orbih, a prominent Edo son and renowned politician who passed away at the age of 64.”

He added, “I extend my deepest condolences to the family of Chief Dan Osi Orbih, his friends, political associates, colleagues and numerous well-wishers. I particularly sympathise with his wife, children and loved ones at this difficult time.

“May God grant his family the strength and fortitude to bear this painful loss, and may He grant Chief Dan Osi Orbih eternal rest.
