SureGifts Unveils Bold New Vision To Transform Employee Rewards In Nigeria

Leading digital rewards and incentives company SureGifts has unveiled a new vision for employee rewards and recognition in Nigeria, following its recently concluded Stakeholders Forum in Lagos.

The event, held at Landmark Towers, brought together business leaders, human resources professionals, industry experts and corporate decision-makers to examine changing workplace expectations and the growing importance of employee engagement.

Discussions at the forum focused on the need for organisations to move beyond traditional and uniform reward systems by adopting more flexible, personalised and technology-driven approaches to recognising employees.

Speaking at the event, SureGifts Managing Director, David Fisayo, explained that vouchers offer employees more than a cash benefit by giving them the freedom to choose rewards that suit their individual needs and preferences.

He also noted that voucher-based rewards can provide wider economic benefits by directing spending back into businesses and supporting activity across the broader economy.

The company’s Partnership Lead, Odunola Alabi, highlighted SureGifts’ range of reward solutions, including electronic vouchers, physical gift cards, customised gifting packages, gift voucher API services and distribution programmes.

According to the company, these solutions are designed to give employees greater choice and convenience while helping employers manage reward and recognition programmes more effectively.

Founder of Ingenuity HR Solutions, Bolaji Shote, also emphasised the importance of employee experience and workplace relationships, noting that organisations need to create experiences that encourage loyalty rather than focusing solely on transactions.

She explained that employee experience extends beyond salaries and benefits to include recognition, rewards, professional development, teamwork, leadership, workplace support, growth opportunities, fairness and employees’ ability to contribute meaningfully to their organisations.

Similarly, Founder of Talent Factory, Felix Bissong, stressed the importance of making employees feel valued, arguing that effective recognition is not simply about the monetary value of a gift but about demonstrating that an employee’s contributions have been noticed and appreciated.

The forum provided participants with an opportunity to exchange ideas on emerging trends in employee engagement, recognition and corporate reward strategies as organisations increasingly compete to attract and retain talented workers.

SureGifts said it is positioning its digital rewards ecosystem as a strategic solution that can help businesses strengthen workplace culture, improve employee engagement and build stronger connections with their workforce.

The company added that it would continue expanding its corporate rewards ecosystem by connecting organisations, employees and brands through digital solutions designed to make rewards more accessible, flexible and personalised.

Established in 2014, SureGifts operates as an enterprise platform focused on rewards, incentives and loyalty. The company says it has served more than 1,000 corporate clients and works with over 400 merchants across Nigeria and Kenya.
