A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after sharing her views on relationships, love languages and the qualities she believes a woman should contribute to a relationship.

During a street interview, the woman discussed what she believes it takes to build a meaningful relationship with a man and stressed that developing a partner is a process that requires patience and time.

According to reports monitored by Bush Radio Academy, she explained that women should not expect to transform or “build” a man they like instantly, noting that such a process requires considerable time and effort.

When asked what she brings to a relationship that would earn her partner’s respect, the lady said her contributions go beyond financial support. She mentioned respect, peace, love and fulfilling her responsibilities as a woman as some of the qualities she brings to a relationship.

She also disclosed that acts of service are her preferred love language. According to her, she expresses affection through helping and serving her partner and equally appreciates receiving similar gestures in return.

The lady further explained that acts of service can involve various other expressions of affection, including attention, physical touch and thoughtful gifts. She described thoughtfulness as an important element of showing love and making a partner feel valued.

She added that when a person is genuinely thoughtful towards their partner, other forms of affection often follow naturally.

The woman was also asked about mistakes women commonly make in romantic relationships. In response, she identified making assumptions and jumping to conclusions as major problems.

She acknowledged that she sometimes struggles with the same habit, admitting that she can reach conclusions about situations without first seeking clarification.

Her comments have since generated discussions online, with social media users weighing in on relationship expectations, emotional maturity, mutual support and the importance of communication between partners.
