I Chose My Principle — Omotola Jalade Makes Bold Revelation About Politics

Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has revealed that she could have attained billionaire status through political connections and opportunities but deliberately turned them down because she was unwilling to compromise her principles.

The actress made the disclosure while reflecting on her financial ambitions, political opportunities and the personal values that have guided some of the major decisions in her life.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Omotola explained that she had been presented with opportunities linked to politics that could have brought her enormous wealth. However, she chose not to pursue them because she believed doing so would require her to compromise values she holds firmly.

The actress said she has always understood the financial possibilities that could come with political connections, but wealth was not enough to make her abandon her principles.

“I tell people that if I wanted to be a billionaire, I could have been one easily. I’ve been offered that opportunity through politics, but I chose not to take it because it would compromise my principles,” she stated.

Her revelation has sparked conversations about the difficult choices individuals sometimes face when financial opportunities conflict with their personal convictions, with many applauding her decision to prioritise her principles over material wealth.
