A married woman has reportedly left her husband and taken their two children with her after learning that he had been diagnosed with throat cancer reportedly linked to human papillomavirus (HPV).

The incident was shared by an X user who used the experience to advise married women to reconsider remaining in relationships with unfaithful partners, arguing that infidelity could expose spouses to health risks.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the woman claimed that a friend’s wife decided to leave her marriage after discovering that her husband had been diagnosed with HPV-related throat cancer. She alleged that doctors advised the woman to undergo medical testing following the diagnosis.

The woman reportedly went to the hospital with her husband, where she received counselling before undergoing the recommended test. According to the account, her result came back negative, with the X user claiming that the couple had not been intimate for about six months.

Following the development, the woman allegedly left the hospital, returned home and packed her belongings and savings before leaving with her two children.

The X user described the incident as a warning to women in troubled marriages, insisting that remaining with an unfaithful partner could have serious consequences for a spouse’s health.

The account has generated discussions about infidelity, sexual health and the importance of medical testing when there are concerns about sexually transmitted infections. However, the specific circumstances surrounding the husband’s diagnosis, the alleged link to HPV and the woman’s decision to leave have not been independently verified.
