Pato Laments Over Earnings of Nigerian Adult Content Creators, Says I Feel Ashamed

Popular adult film actor Pato has offered an insight into the earnings within Nigeria’s adult film industry, revealing that performers in the country earn significantly less than many people may assume.

Speaking during an interview with Tall Lizzy, Pato expressed disappointment over the amount Nigerian adult film makers receive for their productions, saying the situation leaves him feeling ashamed.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Pato disclosed that his highest earnings from a single production came from a project shot in Ghana, where he reportedly made ₦500,000. In Nigeria, however, he said his highest payment has been between ₦200,000 and ₦250,000.

He explained that the amount performers receive can vary depending on the production and that rates have been changing over time.

“Highest in Nigeria is 200 to 250. The more we are going, the more the price is changing,” Pato said.

The actor also revealed that he earns approximately ₦50,000 from selling his videos, further highlighting what he described as the relatively low financial returns within the Nigerian adult film industry.

His comments have sparked reactions online, with social media users expressing surprise at the figures and debating whether the earnings justify the nature of the work.
