Drama As Warri Pikin Breaks Silence After Viral Moment With Timaya On Stage

Nigerian comedian and actress Anita Asuoha, popularly known as Real Warri Pikin, has apologised to her husband, Ikechukwu, and her fans following a viral video showing her on stage with singer Timaya during a recent performance.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the incident occurred on Sunday while Warri Pikin was backstage during Timaya’s performance. She explained that she rushed onto the stage after the singer called for a woman to join him during his performance.

Warri Pikin said she was unaware that Timaya intended to carry her while performing his hit song, “Ukwu.” According to her, she was initially reluctant and did not expect the moment to unfold the way it did.

The comedian acknowledged that the video had generated significant reactions online and appealed to Nigerians to be understanding of the situation. She also expressed concern about her husband’s reaction, revealing that Ikechukwu was upset with her over the incident.

Warri Pikin further explained that resolving the situation immediately has been difficult because she is currently in the United States, while her husband is elsewhere. She nevertheless accepted responsibility for her actions and apologised to her husband, fans and others who may have been offended by the viral footage.

She maintained that she did not intentionally set out to create controversy, stressing that she simply responded to Timaya’s invitation to join him on stage without knowing that the performance would result in the widely circulated moment.
