2027 Lagos Election: Kosoko, Toyin Abraham, Eniola Badmus, Others Join APC Campaign Council

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has unveiled its campaign council for the 2027 general elections, with several prominent Nollywood actors, Fuji musicians and other entertainers included in its Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate.

According to Bush Radio Academy, veteran actor Jide Kosoko, Fuji musicians Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, Abass Akande Obesere and Adewale Ayuba, as well as Nollywood personalities Toyin Abraham, Eniola Badmus and Bimbo Akintola, are among the entertainers listed in the campaign structure.

The names were contained in the full list of the Lagos APC Campaign Council released by the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre on Thursday.

The campaign council is scheduled to be inaugurated on Friday, September 18, at the APC Secretariat on ACME Road in Ikeja.

According to the list, Toke Benson-Awoyinka will serve as Director of the Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate, while Jide Kosoko will act as Co-Director and Eniola Badmus as Deputy Director.

Akeem Alimi, popularly known as Ajala Jalingo, is listed as Secretary, with Dare Olateju named as Assistant Secretary.

Other members drawn from the Yoruba film industry include Adebayo Salami, popularly known as Oga Bello, Saheed Balogun, Bukky Wright, Fathia Balogun, Yinka Quadri, Tayo Sobola, Abiola Adebayo, Remi Oshodi and Foluke Daramola.

The Fuji music sector is represented by Pasuma, Obesere, Adewale Ayuba, Sulaimon Alao Adekunle, popularly known as Malaika, Akorede Babatunde Okunola, also known as Osupa, and Temitope Adekunle, popularly known as Small Doctor.

Other names appearing in the directorate include Bimbo Akintola, Kikelomo Balogun, Princess Bopo Oyekan Ismaila, Rasaq Yusuf, Aderinola Philips, Olamide Maja, Abbey Lanre, Kayode Fahm, Aruna Ishola, Yemisi Falaye, Leke Babatunde Akinrowo and Sule Adiro Ataweye.

The Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate is one of several units established under the campaign council as the party prepares for the 2027 elections.

The council lists Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as Chairman, while Kadri Obafemi Hamzat is named Deputy Chairman. Former governors Babatunde Fashola and Akinwumi Ambode are also listed as Co-Chairmen.

The campaign council is expected to be formally inaugurated on Friday as the APC begins its preparations for the 2027 general elections in Lagos State.
