Cardiff Hotels Sell Out As Anthony Joshua-Tyson Fury Clash Sparks Huge Excitement

Hotels in Cardiff have reportedly recorded heavy bookings ahead of a potential blockbuster heavyweight showdown between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, with December 12 being considered as a possible date for the long-awaited all-British clash.

According to Bush Radio Academy, boxing fans have already begun securing accommodation in the Welsh capital amid speculation that the fight could take place at the Principality Stadium.

The Parkgate hotel, located next to the stadium and operated by the Welsh Rugby Union, reportedly has no rooms available for the weekend. The Marriott and Holiday Inn hotels in Cardiff city centre are also said to be fully booked for December 12, while December 11 remains under consideration as an alternative date.

Cardiff has emerged as a leading potential destination for the proposed fight, with the Principality Stadium reportedly preferred over Madison Square Garden in New York.

The venue and date remain subject to negotiations, with no official announcement yet confirming where or when the highly anticipated bout will take place.

Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has repeatedly maintained that the fight should be staged in the United Kingdom. Hearn also rejected claims by UFC chief executive and Zuffa Boxing co-founder Dana White that he had played a role in preventing the contest from happening.

Hearn said Joshua’s team had already signed a contract and wanted the agreed terms to be respected.

He further revealed that Joshua had received offers worth millions of dollars more to stage the fight in the United States but chose to pursue a British venue. According to Hearn, the strong public reaction and support for a UK-based showdown had reinforced their position.

Wembley Stadium has also been mentioned as another possible venue, although Hearn indicated that Joshua would ultimately have a say in deciding where the fight takes place.

Despite the growing activity among boxing fans and hotel bookings in Cardiff, neither an official date nor venue has been confirmed for the proposed Joshua-Fury fight.
