DJ Cuppy Sparks Reactions After Revealing Unusual Plan To Delete Social Media

Nigerian disc jockey and billionaire heiress Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has sparked reactions online after revealing that she is considering stepping away from social media and embracing a quieter life in the countryside.

The entertainer shared the thought on social media alongside a photo of herself, prompting curiosity among her followers about whether she could eventually trade her high-profile lifestyle for a more private and peaceful existence away from the city.

Cuppy, who is the daughter of Nigerian businessman Femi Otedola, appeared to take a lighthearted approach to the idea as she imagined what her countryside lifestyle could look like.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the DJ disclosed that she had been contemplating deleting her social media accounts and relocating to the countryside, where she joked about buying three goats.

“Just still thinking about deleting social media, moving to the countryside and buying 3 goats. Nothing major,” she wrote.

The statement quickly attracted attention from social media users, particularly because of the contrast between Cuppy’s well-known public lifestyle and the simple countryside existence she described.

Cuppy has maintained a strong presence across social media over the years, regularly sharing updates about her career, travels, interests and personal experiences with her followers. Her latest post, however, presented a different possibility, centred on privacy, a slower pace of life and life away from the spotlight.

Despite the attention generated by the post, Cuppy did not announce any immediate plans to leave social media or relocate. Her wording suggested that the idea remains something she is merely considering at the moment.

For now, it is unclear whether the DJ intends to turn the unusual countryside idea into reality or whether the comment was simply a playful reflection on wanting a quieter lifestyle.
