Nigerian content creator and activist Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has opened up about a difficult financial period he experienced in recent years, revealing that friends and prominent individuals stepped in to support him.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Mr Macaroni shared the experience in a post on X, where he reflected on the emotional impact of receiving messages from people who remembered the support he had previously offered them.

The entertainer explained that he had become accustomed to helping others and often found it difficult to ask for assistance when he was the one facing challenges. He said his financial situation eventually became so difficult that he had to borrow money and seek help from several people.

“I am used to always giving and hardly ever receiving because everyone thought I had in abundance. I have also always found it difficult to ask for help,” he said.

Mr Macaroni revealed that he reached a point where his financial struggles became overwhelming and he considered giving up. However, he said the intervention of people around him helped him get through the difficult period.

According to the content creator, one individual eventually helped him settle all the money he owed. He did not disclose the person’s identity, explaining that the individual would not be pleased if he publicly revealed their name.

He described the support as something that was offered repeatedly and at a time when he urgently needed assistance.

Mr Macaroni also expressed appreciation to members of his close circle, whom he collectively referred to as “Mr Macaroni & Friends,” for standing by him throughout the challenging period.

He specifically thanked music executive Don Jazzy, saying the veteran entertainer had supported him since his university days and continued to show him kindness.

The comedian also expressed gratitude to Nigerian footballer Victor Osimhen and Pastor Bolaji for their support during his difficult period.

“To Don Jazzy, who has been giving me since my university days up till now, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do, not just for me but for so many others!!! To my brother Victor Osimhen and Pastor Bolaji!!! Thank youuuu,” he said.

Mr Macaroni said he is now in a better position and remains grateful for the experience, noting that the difficult period taught him valuable lessons about receiving help and appreciating the people who stand by him during challenging times.
