JAMB Announces Fresh Deadline For Acceptance, Rejection Of Previous Admission Offers

Published

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the deadline for candidates with outstanding admission offers from the 2021 to 2025 admission exercises to November 30, 2026.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the board announced the extension on Wednesday, September 30, giving affected candidates additional time to indicate whether they intend to accept or reject their outstanding offers through the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

The latest extension follows an earlier deadline of September 30, 2026, which itself had been moved from August 31. Reports indicate that the new extension was granted after a temporary disruption affected access to CAPS.

JAMB advised candidates with pending offers to log into their CAPS accounts and take the necessary action before the new deadline.

The board warned that any outstanding admission offer from the affected period that remains neither accepted nor rejected after November 30 will automatically revert to “Not Admitted” on its records.

JAMB further stated that any subsequent request to update or restore an admission affected by the deadline would attract the applicable penalty fee.

Candidates who have already moved to another institution or programme may still need to review their previous offers and take the appropriate action on CAPS. JAMB has previously clarified that candidates who received a new admission in the 2026 exercise can reject an earlier outstanding offer without affecting their current admission.

The board therefore urged all affected candidates to check their CAPS accounts and make their decisions before November 30, rather than waiting until the final day.
