Pastor Sparks Reactions After Declaring What They Call Sin Is A Normal Lifestyle

A Nigerian pastor has sparked reactions online after urging members of his congregation to enjoy life to the fullest, while stating that Jesus Christ had already paid the price for their sins.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the cleric made the remarks in a video shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, while addressing his congregation.

During his message, the pastor argued that believers should not allow actions or behaviours described as sinful to prevent them from living their lives fully. He further suggested that some behaviours currently regarded as sinful have become part of normal lifestyles in society.

“Jesus has paid the whole debt. You are not owing anybody a sin. What they are now calling sin is a normal lifestyle, so always enjoy life to the fullest,” the pastor said.

The statement has since attracted attention on social media, with users expressing different views about the cleric’s interpretation of sin, forgiveness and the way Christians should approach their everyday lives.

The pastor’s comments have also triggered wider discussions about the relationship between contemporary lifestyles and traditional Christian teachings, particularly regarding morality, forgiveness and personal freedom.

While some may interpret his remarks as an encouragement to live without excessive guilt, others have questioned the theological implications of describing behaviours traditionally considered sinful as part of a normal lifestyle.
