A Lagos landlord has reportedly reduced the rent of a tenant by 50 percent after the man’s wife welcomed twins through a Caesarean section.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the heartwarming story was shared on X by a barrister identified as @Dammi_Esq, who said the tenant is her friend. She explained that her friend recently became a father to twins and unexpectedly called her one morning in tears.

The barrister said she initially became worried after receiving the emotional phone call, fearing that something might have happened to the newborn babies. However, she later discovered that the tears were reportedly triggered by an unexpected gesture from the family’s landlord.

According to her account, the landlord had sent the family a letter informing them that their rent had been reduced by half following the birth of the twins.

She said the gesture was so surprising that she asked her friend to send her a copy of the letter because she initially found it difficult to believe that the landlord had actually taken such a step.

The barrister said she read the letter twice before accepting that the reported 50 percent reduction was genuine.
