Julius Agwu Breaks Down Emotionally, Reveals How Friends Allegedly Abandoned Him
Nigerian comedian and actor Julius Agwu has opened up about the impact his health struggles had on his career, finances and relationships, breaking down emotionally while recounting some of the difficult experiences he faced.
Agwu spoke during a recent appearance on the Beer Parlour Talk Show, where he reflected on the challenges that followed his major health crisis and revealed that some people close to him allegedly abandoned him when he needed their support the most.
The comedian underwent major brain surgery in the United States after doctors discovered two growths in his brain. Years later, he said the experience left him dealing with significant personal and professional challenges.
While discussing the ordeal, Agwu became emotional and questioned the circumstances surrounding what he described as a difficult period in his life.
“The God wey I dey serve, anybody wey get hand for wetin happen to me. I will be there and ask myself, what kind of life is this?” he said emotionally.
Agwu alleged that some of his friends stopped communicating with him during his difficult period. He also claimed that a bishop who had previously managed him collected his money before their relationship eventually deteriorated.
“My friends deserted me. This bishop that I’m talking about, he was managing me, he collected my money, they stopped talking to me. It is well,” he said.
The comedian’s emotional account comes years after his serious health battle, which required surgery in the United States following the discovery of the growths in his brain.
Agwu has previously spoken about the severity of the health crisis, including his account that he lost consciousness and later regained awareness while being taken to a mortuary.
According to Bush Radio Academy, Agwu’s latest disclosure has offered another glimpse into the personal and financial difficulties he says he experienced while dealing with the aftermath of his health challenges.
