Teni Declares War? Singer Names Celebrity She Plans To Challenge In Boxing Ring

Nigerian singer-songwriter Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, has sparked reactions online after challenging fellow music star Tiwa Savage to a celebrity boxing match.

In a video circulating on social media, Teni boldly called out Tiwa Savage and declared her intention to defeat the singer in the ring, joking that she would show no sympathy during the proposed contest.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Teni suggested that their proposed boxing encounter should come with a massive ₦1.5 billion prize for the winner.

“Teni and Tiwa Savage next. Let’s start from there. I will beat you,” the singer said.

Teni also hinted at plans to use the prize money to acquire a Bugatti, although she did not provide further details about how she intended to spend the money.

Tiwa Savage subsequently responded to the challenge in the comment section, appearing to accept the proposal and asking Teni to choose a date for the contest.

“Pick a date,” Tiwa wrote.

The exchange has generated excitement among fans, with social media users reacting to the possibility of seeing the two Nigerian music stars settle their playful challenge in the boxing ring.

Teni rose to prominence following the release of her 2017 hit single “Fargin” and achieved greater recognition the following year with “Askamaya.” She has since established herself as one of Nigeria’s prominent music acts with songs including “Case” and “Uyo Meyo,” as well as collaborations with artists such as Chike and Yemi Alade.
