Fiancée Cries Out After Boyfriend Accuses Her of Feeding His Barber In His Absence

A Nigerian woman has sought public opinion after her fiancé allegedly accused her of making his personal barber too comfortable in their home by offering him food while he was away.

The incident was shared on social media by a Facebook user identified as Sylvia Okonkwo, who said the barber was also her former senior course mate from school.

According to Sylvia, the barber had been visiting their home to cut her fiancé’s hair, but she only realised they knew each other from school after she moved in with her fiancé a few months ago as they prepared for their wedding.

She explained that she informed her fiancé about her relationship with the barber, noting that they had attended the same department and interacted occasionally, although they were not particularly close. She added that she had previously encountered the barber without any problems, including during her fiancé’s birthday celebration.

Sylvia said the situation changed during a recent visit when the barber came to the house to cut her fiancé’s hair before her fiancé arrived.

According to her account, she called her fiancé after noticing that the barber was already at the house, and he reportedly confirmed that he knew about the visit but was delayed in traffic.

She said she allowed the barber to wait in the parlour while she continued preparing food. After cooking, she casually asked whether he wanted something to eat, expecting him to decline the offer.

However, the barber reportedly accepted the meal, prompting Sylvia to serve him rice, stew and juice before returning to the kitchen.

She said her fiancé arrived shortly afterwards, greeted the barber and went upstairs to change. Later, he allegedly questioned her about why she had served the barber food in his absence.

Sylvia claimed that although she initially believed the matter had been resolved, her fiancé brought it up again later that night and accused her of making the barber overly comfortable in their home.

She said he also allegedly questioned whether there was something romantic between her and the barber, an accusation she described as shocking and unfounded.

According to Sylvia, she attempted to explain that she had only offered the visitor food as a matter of courtesy, but her fiancé allegedly refused to accept her explanation. The couple reportedly went to bed without speaking to each other.

Sylvia said she eventually left her fiancé’s residence the following day after the disagreement.

She further claimed that several days had passed without her fiancé contacting her or responding to her calls. She also said she visited his residence but did not find him there.

Confused by the development and questioning whether she had acted wrongly, Sylvia turned to social media users for their opinions on the situation.

The incident has since generated mixed reactions online, with users debating whether serving food to a partner’s visitor was an innocent act of hospitality or a situation that warranted the fiancé’s concern.
