Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has appealed to Nigerians to exercise patience with President Bola Tinubu’s administration, insisting that the President is doing well and deserves more time to addr

Anuku made the remarks during an appearance on the Honest Bunch Podcast, where he argued that Nigerians were becoming too impatient for immediate changes while overlooking the challenges inherited from previous administrations.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the actor maintained that Tinubu should not be blamed for all the problems confronting the country, noting that successive governments had played a role in shaping Nigeria’s current situation.

“Nigerians should be patient with Tinubu because he’s doing great. We’re too much in a hurry. The country was not spoilt by him; there were people before him. Why don’t they go and attack those people?” Anuku said.

He added, “The devil we know is better than the angel we don’t.”

Meanwhile, the actor also opened up about the personal tragedy that significantly affected his life and career, revealing that the death of his former partner and mother of his children was one of the most traumatic experiences he had endured.

Speaking during a testimony at a church in Abuja, Anuku said he and his former partner had planned to get married before her sudden death. He described her passing as devastating, saying the loss left him emotionally shattered and caused him to withdraw from people and take a break from acting.

The actor recalled how deeply the loss affected him, saying he struggled with the reality of having to continue life without the mother of his children.

Anuku said he eventually found comfort and healing through his renewed relationship with God, which he described as a turning point in his life.

He expressed gratitude that his children are doing well and said he remains hopeful that he will gradually overcome the difficulties he has experienced, relying on his faith and taking life one step at a time.
