She Said It Was Dangerous – Opeyemi Famakin Shares Spa Owner’s Shocking Warning

Published

Food critic Opeyemi Famakin has recounted how a spa owner and friend reportedly advised him against undergoing a particular treatment at her own facility because of potential health risks.

Famakin made the disclosure while reacting to a video circulating online that showed young people receiving intravenous (IV) infusions as part of efforts to achieve glowing skin.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Famakin said he had once considered undergoing a similar procedure at a spa owned by a friend. However, he claimed the spa’s CEO privately cautioned him against it, despite the fact that the treatment was offered at her establishment.

He said the woman told him she would not recommend the procedure because it could pose risks to vital organs, although he was unsure whether she specifically mentioned the kidneys or liver.

Famakin explained that the spa owner’s warning was based on their friendship, saying she felt comfortable being honest with him about the potential dangers associated with the treatment.

He subsequently used the experience to caution people against engaging in trends they may not fully understand, warning that some choices that appear harmless in the short term could potentially have consequences later in life.

Famakin also criticised the tendency to attribute future health problems to supernatural or external causes, suggesting that some illnesses could instead be linked to lifestyle choices made earlier in life.

His comments have sparked conversations online about the growing popularity of IV treatments and other cosmetic procedures promoted as ways to improve physical appearance.
