Police Shake-Up: IGP Disu Posts New Public Relations Officers To Benue, Yobe, Cybercrime Centre
Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has approved the posting of new Police Public Relations Officers (PPROs) and Public Relations Liaison Officers to selected commands and formations of the Nigeria Police Force.
According to Bush Radio Academy, the postings, announced on Friday by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, are aimed at strengthening strategic communication, improving public access to reliable police information and enhancing engagement with the media and other stakeholders.
Under the new postings, Superintendent of Police Johnson A. Doghudje has been assigned as Police Public Relations Officer for Zone 5, while SP Ojedele Olanrewaju Tunji has been posted to Zone 11 in Osogbo.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Orchia Adndongu has been posted to the Benue State Police Command and can be contacted on 07013495466. Similarly, DSP Imah Unwana Victor has been assigned to the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC), with 08038281577 listed as the contact number.
At the Police Academy (POLAC), Assistant Superintendent of Police Abdulaziz Maharazu has been appointed to handle public relations responsibilities and can be reached on 07064684936.
ASP Yusuf Adamu Aliyu has been posted to the Yobe State Police Command, with 08136394230 provided as his contact number. Meanwhile, ASP Haruna Rashid Umar Abdullahi has been assigned as Public Relations Liaison Officer for the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Gombe State and can be contacted on 08130313033.
The Inspector-General of Police charged the newly posted officers to maintain professionalism, accuracy and responsiveness while carrying out their duties.
Disu also directed them to ensure that verified information is disseminated promptly and to maintain constructive relationships with journalists, members of the public and other relevant stakeholders.
The police leadership said effective communication and transparency remain essential to building public confidence in law enforcement and strengthening people-centred policing.
The latest postings form part of ongoing efforts by the Nigeria Police Force to improve its communication structures and ensure that members of the public have better access to credible information about police activities.
