Fresh Trouble For Speed Darlington As Slimjoe Accuses Him Of Failing To Appreciate Support

Nigerian entertainer Mcee Slimjoe has criticised singer Speed Darlington, accusing him of failing to appreciate the support and sacrifices made by people around him.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Slimjoe’s comments came hours after Speed Darlington’s former manager, Goskey, reportedly announced his departure and accused the singer of owing him three years’ worth of unpaid salaries and mistreating him during their working relationship.

Goskey also alleged that Speed Darlington paid him only ₦200,000 out of the millions of naira the singer reportedly earned from his boxing match against fellow entertainer Carter Efe.

Reacting to the controversy, Slimjoe shared his own experience with the rapper, claiming that he travelled from Abia State to Lagos in 2025 to attend one of Speed Darlington’s shows but received only ₦50,000 from the singer.

“Speed Darlington is a wicked person. He’s not the type of person people should associate with. I once travelled from Abia to Lagos for his show in 2025, only for him to give me ₦50,000,” Slimjoe said.

The entertainer further claimed that he had supported Speed Darlington on several occasions but felt that his efforts were not adequately recognised or appreciated.

Slimjoe’s remarks have added to the growing controversy surrounding Speed Darlington’s relationship with people who have worked with or supported him.

The dispute intensified following Goskey’s allegations of unpaid salaries and mistreatment, which prompted public attention and further criticism of the singer’s professional relationships.
