Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington has responded to his former manager, Goskey, following their public fallout over allegations of unpaid salaries and mistreatment.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the rapper made his position known in a video circulating on social media, where he questioned the need for a manager and suggested that he would rather have someone who serves him than an individual who shares in his earnings.

In the video, Speed Darlington criticised the idea of employing a manager, arguing that he did not want anyone taking a share of his money. He also suggested that he preferred someone who would attend to his personal needs rather than handle his professional affairs.

“Why I no go use you? You need to be used. You’re very useless, if not a fraud. I’m sure you can’t afford to buy a car. You used your own hand to make yourself my manager. Me wey dey look for who go serve me. What I want is someone that will be answering me ‘Sir’ from morning till night,” the rapper said.

He further questioned the purpose of having a manager, suggesting that such an arrangement could lead to unnecessary spending from his earnings.

“Wetin I wan do with manager? So my money go finish sharp sharp abi? I don’t need a manager because I don’t want anybody to eat my money. What I need is a house help,” he added.

The rapper’s comments come amid allegations by his former manager, Goskey, who reportedly accused him of owing three years’ worth of unpaid salaries and subjecting him to mistreatment during their working relationship.

Goskey also alleged that the working environment had become toxic, further deepening the disagreement between the pair.

Speed Darlington’s latest remarks have added another dimension to the public dispute, which has drawn attention to the accusations surrounding their professional relationship. However, the allegations of unpaid wages and mistreatment remain claims made by the former manager.
