Marriage Speculation Deepens As Natasha Osawaru Misses 2Baba’s 51st Birthday Celebration
Edo State House of Assembly member Natasha Osawaru has sparked fresh speculation about a possible marital rift with Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, after introducing herself during a plenary session without mentioning her husband.
The lawmaker’s remarks reportedly attracted attention amid growing questions about the couple’s relationship, particularly following her absence from 2Baba’s 51st birthday celebration in Victoria Island, Lagos.
According to Bush Radio Academy, the birthday event was attended by the singer’s children, his mother, Rose Idibia, and several entertainment personalities, including Kenny Ogungbe, Dayo “D1” Adeneye, Wande Coal, African China, Ayo Makun, Faze and Tony Tetuila.
Natasha’s absence from the gathering fuelled further speculation about the state of their marriage, with social media users questioning whether the couple were experiencing difficulties.
The rumours gained additional attention after a video circulating online showed Natasha addressing the Edo State House of Assembly and introducing herself as “Honourable Natasha Irobosa Osawaru.”
During the session, she said she represented the people of Egor Constituency and served as the minority leader of the House, by God’s grace.
Her decision not to mention 2Baba during the introduction prompted further discussion about the couple’s relationship.
The renewed speculation comes after reports of an alleged heated exchange between the couple at a nightclub in Abuja in August, which had also drawn public attention to their marriage.
However, neither Natasha nor 2Baba has publicly confirmed that they have separated. The reasons behind her absence from the birthday celebration and the significance of her introduction during plenary remain unclear.
According to Bush Radio Academy, the reports have continued to generate discussion, although no official statement from either party has established that their marriage has ended.
