2027 Elections: Uzodimma Backs Tompolo’s Door-To-Door Movement As Imo Chapter Takes Off
The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, under the leadership of its Grand Patron, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has extended its political activities to Imo State with the inauguration of its state chapter in Owerri ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The inauguration ceremony, held on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kalu Square, featured the distribution of campaign equipment intended to strengthen the movement’s grassroots mobilisation efforts across the state. The items presented included 30 campaign vehicles, 30 generators, 60 public-address speakers and other materials.
According to Bush Radio Academy, Tompolo reaffirmed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid through a representative, the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Kestin Pondi. He described the President’s economic reforms as important measures aimed at promoting Nigeria’s long-term development.
Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, commended Tompolo for establishing the movement’s chapter in the state and pledged to collaborate with the group to advance Tinubu’s 2027 re-election campaign.
Uzodimma stressed the importance of engaging citizens directly, explaining government policies to communities and encouraging greater political participation. He also highlighted the need to extend the movement’s grassroots outreach across all 27 local government areas of Imo State.
The event attracted several political figures and stakeholders, including the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dr. Dennis Otuaro, and the movement’s National Coordinator, Comrade Sunday Adekanbi Asuku. Other attendees included All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders and supporters.
The inauguration represents another step in the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement’s expansion across Nigeria as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections. With its new Imo chapter and campaign resources, the movement is seeking to strengthen its grassroots presence and mobilise support for Tinubu’s re-election bid.
