2027: Tinubu’s Daughter Warns Nigerians Against Voting For Atiku, Peter Obi

Mujidat Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, daughter of President Bola Tinubu, has urged Nigerians not to vote for opposition figures Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi in the 2027 general elections, arguing that their emergence as president could reverse the progress she believes has been recorded under her father’s administration.

Tinubu-Ojo, who serves as the Iyaloja-General of Nigeria, made the appeal on Thursday during the launch of the Iyaloja General Movement (IGM) for Renewed Hope Initiatives at Eagle Square in Abuja.

According to Bush Radio Academy, she warned that electing either of the opposition leaders would take the country backwards and undermine the achievements of the current administration.

Speaking at the event, Tinubu-Ojo disclosed that the movement had established structures across Nigeria’s 36 states, local government areas and wards, adding that the initiative would mobilise market leaders and sensitise Nigerians ahead of the next presidential election.

She explained that the group was established to encourage citizens, particularly traders and market leaders, to participate actively in the electoral process and support what she described as the right political direction for the country.

Defending President Tinubu’s economic policies, she acknowledged that the measures introduced by the administration had created hardship for many Nigerians. However, she maintained that the difficulties were temporary and expressed confidence that the situation would improve with time.

Tinubu-Ojo compared the current economic challenges to the pains experienced by a pregnant woman during labour, insisting that the sacrifices being made now would eventually produce positive results.

She said the policies were painful and that Nigerians were feeling their effects, but maintained that the long-term benefits would justify the difficulties.

Her remarks come as political activities and early mobilisation efforts gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
